Law 25, 1-33 (2018) As regards personal tax burdens, Brexit will not affect the tax situation of Belgian-British cross-border workers, as this is governed and remains regulated by the double taxation agreement between Belgium and the United Kingdom. However, where a worker is taxed in Belgium and covered by Belgian social security, there may be an additional special social security contribution for posted workers who, under the conditions in force before Brexit, could be exempted from Belgian social security in the past.
